A method and an apparatus for statistically scheduling in a differentiated service system are provided to prevent data loss with regard to traffic, thereby guaranteeing QoS. It is determined whether current traffic is self similar traffic(401). When the current traffic is the self similar traffic, it is determined whether the current traffic belongs to a class movement condition(403). When the current traffic belongs to the class movement condition, a target class satisfying quality of service of the current traffic is searched(405). When a target class is searched, the class to which the current traffic belongs is changed to the target class(407). When the target class is not searched, the class to which the traffic belongs is changed to the uppermost class(409). |
