PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembly machine for mounting components with a mounting device on a body member that is held to a transfer holding device including a belt conveyor and a body member holding device that holds the body member which has been transferred by the belt conveyor, the assembly machine that can be used for various thicknesses of the body member while it is arranged adjacent to another machine with a gap too small for an operator to enter, and can access the transfer holding device from outside of a base.SOLUTION: In a hollow base 130 of an assembly machine main body 36, a groove 132 is formed parallel to the transfer direction of a transfer holding device 120 and the transfer holding device 120 is arranged in the groove 132, while forming an opening 342 in at least one of a pair of groove side walls of the groove 132, so that an operator can access the transfer holding device 120 through the opening 342 from outside of the base 130. |
