PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an access control device and an access control method capable of limiting access to information for other purpose than intended purpose of access.SOLUTION: A task processing section 104 for executing a task requests information from a rule information retrieval section 105 for managing the information and the task in association with each other, if the information is required when the task is executed. When the information is required by the task processing section 104, the rule information retrieval section 105 determines whether or not the task executed by the task processing section 104 is associated with the information required by the task processing section 104, and only if the task is associated with the information, an information retrieval section 106 transmits the required information to the task processing section 104.
