<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information acquiring apparatus that can acquire distances appropriately while keeping the quantity of arithmetic operations from increasing significantly, and an object detecting apparatus provided with the information acquiring apparatus.SOLUTION: A dot pattern is configured by arraying unit cells of multiple types differing from one another in an inclination angle between two dots, and the unit cells so arrayed on the dot pattern that a combination of unit cells contained in a segment area appears only once in a prescribed range in an arraying direction of a projection optical system and a reception optical system. A distance acquiring unit extracts from an actually measured image a comparison area matching the combination of unit cells contained in the segment area, and acquires distance information on the basis of a position of the actually measured image in the extracted comparison area.</p> |
