The present invention relates to a power generating system converting heat energy into electric energy and, more particularly, to a power generating system using a melting slag capable of using heat energy generated when a high temperature melting slag is being cooled by converting the energy into electricity. Therefore, the power generating system using the melting slag, as a power generating system converting the heat energy of the high temperature melting slag into electric energy, includes a sealed duct moving the melting slag, a separator separating the melting slag coming from the duct into steam and a particle slag, a turbine converting the heat energy into mechanical energy by moving the separated steam, and a power generator converting the mechanical energy into the electric energy.
