PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium support device capable of performing height control of a medium support part with high accuracy especially when using a thin medium while being capable of using a thick medium.SOLUTION: The medium support device includes: a support table 5 that has a pin 11 at a side opposite to a side for supporting a medium; a moving mechanism 6 that supports the support table 5 via the pin 11 and can move the support table 5 in a vertical direction C; a base part 8 capable of supporting the moving mechanism 6; a detachable spacer 10 disposed between the moving mechanism 6 and the base part 8, and the spacer 10 has a size that covers a portion corresponding to a position on the extension line of the vertical direction C of the pin 11 in a direction crossing the vertical direction C. |
