PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastic wave device which achieves excellent reliability.SOLUTION: An elastic wave device includes: a piezoelectric substrate 1 which transmits elastic waves; IDT electrodes 2 disposed on a main surface of the piezoelectric substrate 1; a frame body 6 which encloses the IDT electrodes 2 disposed on the main surface of the piezoelectric substrate 1; a lid 7 disposed on the frame body 6; an insulation layer 11 disposed on the lid 7; and external connection electrodes 10 which are disposed in through holes penetrating through the lid 7 and the insulation layer 11 and electrically connect with the IDT electrodes 2. An upper end of each external connection electrode 10 is positioned in the middle of the through hole when viewed in a thickness direction.
