摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slip detection device for a power transmission element, capable of detecting a slip of the power transmission element such as a shift clutch in an automatic transmission, and eliminating the slip in the power transmission element even when the accuracy of revolution speed detection is low.SOLUTION: Provided is a slip detection device for a power transmission element in a vehicle having a power source for driving the vehicle, an automatic transmission for varying speed on the basis of a vehicle travelling condition, an input axis of the automatic transmission to be rotated with an output of the power source, a power transmission element for transmitting output of the power source to driving wheels, and an output axis of the automatic transmission which rotates via the power transmission element. The slip detection device comprises output axis pulse signal detection means for detecting a pulse signal obtained in synchronization with rotation of the output axis, and determines whether a slip of the power transmission element exists or not based on the number of pulse signals from the output axis, by counting the number of pulse signals from the output axis if a decrease in the power source output is predicted.</p>
