PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discrimination device and a rotor, capable of reducing costs and highly accurately reading magnetic information on paper sheets.SOLUTION: A discrimination device 1 discriminates a paper sheet 2 on the basis of magnetic information 2a on the paper sheet 2 conveyed by conveyance rollers 5a and 5b, and comprises a paper sheet reading sensor 7 for reading the magnetic information 2a on the paper sheet 2, and a rotor 10 disposed at a position so as to face the paper sheet reading sensor 7. The rotor 10 includes a drive gear 11 to which drive force is input from one of the conveyance rollers 5a and 5b, a rotation axis 12 rotating with the input of the drive force to the drive gear 11, and a fan 13 for blowing an air flow 21 to the paper sheet reading sensor 7 with the rotation of the rotation axis 12. |
