<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Ca-pantothenate solution for use in manufacturing food products for human and feed applicable product for animals, vitamin preparations, and pharmaceutical formulations.SOLUTION: There is provided a solution containing Ca-pantothenate which can be obtained by a method of reacting a sodium-β-alaninate alcohol solution with R-pantolactone to obtain sodium-pantothenate and converting it to pantothenic acid or a salt thereof. The sodium-β-alaninate alcohol solution is obtained by (a) a process of addingβ-amino-propionitrile to excessive amounts of a sodium hydroxide solution or alcohol/solution at a temperature of 60 to 95°C and removing water, (b) a process of neutralizing the excessive amounts of the sodium hydroxide solution byβ-alanine with avoidingβ-alanine to be excessive to obtain a solution with desired concentration directly, (c) a process of removing water, and (d) a process of dissolving sodium-β-alaninate into C1 to 8-alcohol to obtain a sodium-β-alaninate alcohol solution with desired concentration.</p> |
