GENETIC SENSITIVE VARIANT OF TYPE 2 DIABETES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining disease susceptibility to type 2 diabetes and an apparatus for determining a genetic index of type 2 diabetes.SOLUTION: The method includes determining existence or nonexistence of at least at-risk allele of at least one polymorphic marker in a genotype dataset derived from a nucleic acid sample obtained from a human individual or the individual. The at least one polymorphic marker is selected from the polymorphism (rs7756992) of 300 position of a specific sequence and the polymorphism in a specific nucleotide sequence that is completely in linkage disequilibrium with it (r=1). Then, disease susceptibility to type 2 diabetes is determined by existence or nonexistence of the at least one allele.
