ATTACHABLE CLAMP FOR USE WITH SURGICAL INSTRUMENTS A surgical instrument, comprising: an attachable clamp (300) with a body portion (330) defining a longitudinal axis and having attachment members (310, 320) configured to attach to an elongate portion of a surgical stapler, a first jaw member (310) extending distally from the body portion (330), a second jaw member (320) extending distally from the body portion (330), and an actuation mechanism (335) disposed in mechanical cooperation with at least one of the first jaw member (310) and the second jaw member (320), the first jaw member and second jaw member being curved; and a surgical stapler (10b) having jaws (23b) including a cartridge assembly and an anvil assembly, the jaws (23b) being curved and having an inner side and an outer side, the attachable clamp (300) being removably attached to the surgical stapler (10b) so that the first jaw member (310) and second jaw member (320) are disposed on the inner side. |
