PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polycarbonate resin by a melt transesterification method, in which method pressure control having high reliability is performed without being affected by high temperature in a reactor, clogging due to entrainment, or a liquid pool of a volatile monohydroxy compound by-product.SOLUTION: In the method for producing the polycarbonate resin, the polycarbonate resin is produced by subjecting a dihydroxy compound and a carbonate diester to a polycondensation reaction in the reactor while removing the monohydroxy compound by-product to the outside of a reaction system through a depressurized line 4. Pressure detection means 7 is arranged on the depressurized line 4 while interposing a branch pipe 6 therebetween, and a distance Lt between a joint (A) 21 of the reactor to the depressurized line 4 and a pressure detection end (C) 23 is 1 m or longer as the pipeline length thereof. |
