<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a pigment and resin composition capable of producing a coloring agent useful for coloring plastics or coloring an image recording agent with flexibly coping with increase of demand, including a process following brewing and mixing, enhancing production efficiency, shortening processing time and achieving manpower saving and rationalization.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a pigment and resin composition includes mixing a pigment-containing aqueous slurry and a heat meltable resin to prepare a mixture of moisture, the pigment and the heat meltable resin, dehydrating the mixture to adjust the moisture content in the mixture to be 4 to 25 mass%, injecting the mixture into an extrusion kneader having at least one vent port continuously, mixing them at a temperature of the melting temperature of the heat meltable resin or higher, and mixing them at the temperature of the heat meltable resin or higher while ejecting steam of the separated moisture and residual moisture from the vent port to obtain the pigment and resin composition in which the pigment is dispersed in the molten heat meltable resin.</p> |
