PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pad for a disc brake, in which the weight of a back plate is reduced while a holding part for a shim plate is configured simply and with low cost.SOLUTION: A pad for a disc brake 10 includes a friction member 11 and a back plate 12 supporting the reverse face of the friction member 11, the back plate 12 being made of synthetic resin. Each of the torque receiving parts 12a, 12b provided for both ends of the back plate 12 in the rotor circumferential direction protrudes toward the reverse side so as to be formed thick compared to the central part of the back plate 12. Holding parts 12a1, 12b1 are respectively provided for the torque receiving parts 12a, 12b. The holding parts 12a1, 12b1 are engageable with a shim plate mounted to the back face of the back plate 12 and restrict movement of the shim plate in the rotor circumferential direction and inward in the rotor radial direction. |
