PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video monitoring system capable of ensuring transmission of necessary images while preventing transmission of unnecessary images.SOLUTION: An image transmission device 100 detects a target object to be monitored from plural images in a monitoring area photographed, traces the detected target object, calculates the period of time from appearance to disappearance of the target object, and transmits images of the target object from which data amount is reduced to an image receiving device 200. The image receiving device 200 analyzes the images of reduced data amount transmitted from the image transmission device 100, transmits an image request of the target object to the image transmission device 100 on the basis of the input made based on the result of the analysis. Receiving the image request transmitted from the image receiving device 200, the image transmission device 100 generates a monitor video of the period from appearance to disappearance of the target object on the basis of the period of appearance of the target object and transmits the monitor video to the image receiving device 200. |
