PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a gold colloid-containing material capable of manufacturing a gold colloid-containing material including a desired quantity of the gold colloid at a specified site within the material and/or of forming, within a relatively brief period, the gold colloid from gold ions within the material.SOLUTION: The provided problem-solving method for manufacturing a polymeric material including a gold colloid within a portion or the entirety thereof includes a step of obtaining a polymeric material including a gold colloid within a portion or the entirety thereof by subjecting, to an acid generating treatment or base generating treatment, a portion or the entirety of a polymeric material including: a reductant whose reducing capacity varies depending on the pH; an acid generator or base generator; a gold compound; and an inorganic salt different from the gold compound. |
