Disclosed are various embodiments for a digital device and a method for processing a service thereof. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the method for processing service data in a service system includes the steps of: configuring an external device connection notification UI for notifying that an external device is connected to a digital device to be provided and capturing a current screen supplied by the provided external device connection notification UI to generate first data; transmitting the generated first data to a first server and returning, from the first server, second data on a location where the transmitted first data is stored; transmitting the returned second data to a second server; returning third data including advertisement data on the returned second data from the second server; decoding the returned third data and generating OSD data to be outputted in a screen; and calling a relevant function to be provided when the outputted third data is selected.
