The present invention relates to a method and a system for providing an event, capable of providing a user with event information using a mobile robot. The method for providing an event according to the present invention includes a content transmission step of transmitting, to a TV set-top box, content requested from the TV set-top box; a determination step of determining whether the content is event content; an event identification step of identifying whether an event occurs during playback if it is determined that the content is the event content; a suspension step of controlling the TV set-top box to temporarily suspend the replayed content if it is identified that the event during playback occurs; and an event transmission step of transmitting the event during playback to a mobile robot linked to the TV set-top box. |
