PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frictional agitation joining tool capable of executing varnishing processing on a surface of a joining part (a heat affected part) joined by frictional agitation, without reducing production efficiency, and without increasing manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: In a frictional agitation joining tool 1, a pin-shaped agitation shaft 30 projects from an upper side rotary body 10 and a lower side rotary body 20. An upper side slide plate 40 and a lower side slide plate 50 are installed on the upper side rotary body 10 and the lower side rotary body 20 via thrust bearings B1 and B2. The upper side slide plate 40 and the lower side slide plate 50 are set so as to rotate slower than the upper side rotary body 10 and the lower side rotary body 20 in frictional agitation joining. A varnishing processing ball 61 slightly projecting in a spherical surface shape from an under surface 40X and an upper surface 50X on the outside of the under surface 40X and the upper surface 50X for functioning as a shoulder surface and rolling while pressing an upper side surface and a lower side surface of the heat affected parts HA and HB formed by the frictional agitation joining, is installed on the upper side slide plate 40 and the lower side slide plate 50. |
