PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for life cycle management for superpixels associated with frames of a sequence of frames.SOLUTION: An area occupied by a superpixel in a frame of the sequence of frames is monitored. When the area of the superpixel becomes smaller than a specified first value, the superpixel is terminated (2) in the later frame. When the area of the superpixel becomes larger than a specified second value, the superpixel is split (3) in the later frame. |
