HIGHLY-FLUORESCENT AND PHOTO-STABLE CHROMOPHORE FOR ENHANCED SOLAR HARVESTING EFFICIENCY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photo-stable highly luminescent chromophore that is useful in various applications including a wavelength conversion film.SOLUTION: A fluorescent material having only one benzo heterocyclic system (n=0) represented as an example by the following formula is provided, or a highly fluorescent material including continued benzo heterocyclic systems (n=1, 2, etc.) is provided. The photo-stable highly luminescent chromophore is useful for various applications including a wavelength conversion film. The wavelength conversion film has a potential to significantly enhance the solar harvesting efficiency of a photo-voltaic device or of a solar cell device.
