<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve dictionary search by extremely easily transiting a displayed arbitrary character string to a proper dictionary without making it necessary to preliminarily know about the dictionary of a transition destination in the case of transiting the character string to another dictionary as a search character string in an electronic dictionary device having a touch panel type display screen.SOLUTION: When a search character string "pereion" input to and displayed in a search character input area E is touched with a touch pen P and dragged in a downward direction, an other dictionary movement area D in which respective dictionary name icons "Random House English-Japanese" and so on of other dictionaries stored as dictionary data are arrayed is displayed. When the search character string "pereion" in a drag state is dragged and dropped to a position of the other dictionary name icon "Random House English-Japanese" displayed in the other dictionary movement area D, a dictionary "Genius English-Japanese Dictionary" being selected is switched to the other dictionary "Random House English-Japanese" at the dropped position, and the dictionary search of the search character string "pereion" is executed.</p> |
