<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten stability and a resistance force to a force in the lateral direction generally following a turning work.SOLUTION: A cutting tip 32 has upper side and lower side restraining parts 39 formed on the upper surface and the lower surface 34. At least either 39 of the upper side and lower side restraining parts has two restraining surfaces 40; 41 each having an approximately V-shape in the cross-sectional view, and surface components 42, 43; 44, 45 of the two approximately V-shaped restraining surfaces form each different wedge angle. The two approximately V-shaped restraining surfaces have each different length in the longitudinal direction, and a first surface 40 of the two approximately V-shaped restraining surfaces is extended in the longitudinal direction from a rear spot on the front end face 36 to a front spot of the rear end surface 37, and the cutting tip is mirror symmetric with respect to a short axis face which is vertical to a longitudinal axis A1.</p> |
