<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image photographing device and an image photographing method for efficiently generating a panoramic image in which a duplicate of the same subject is not imaged.SOLUTION: Provided is an image photographing device for generating a panoramic image by synthesizing a plurality of photographed images which were sequentially photographed while changing the photographing direction. The image photographing device comprises: detection means for detecting a first motion amount indicating the distance of a position of each pixel in a photographed image between a first difference image newly added to a photographed image at the n-2'th to the n-1'th photographing during the n'th photographing (n≥3) and a second difference image in the same region as the first difference image of an n'th photographed image; and synthesis means for writing, for each pixel of the second difference image, the image data of the pixel into the panoramic image when the first motion amount matches the second motion amount corresponding to a change in the photographing direction between the n-1'th and the n'th photographing, and not writing the same when the first motion amount does not match. The detection means and the synthesis means repeat a process executed during the n'th photographing.</p> |
