PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved electrosurgical generator.SOLUTION: An electrosurgical generator includes: a radio frequency output configured to output an electrosurgical waveform applied to a tissue; a sensor module 22 configured to continuously sense a tissue impedance generated by application of the electrosurgical waveform to the tissue and generate at least one signal related to the tissue impedance; and a controller. The controller is configured to perform adjustment of power of electrosurgical waveform generated by the radio frequency output; receive at least one signal from the sensor module; determine the direction of change in the subsequent average impedance; and perform a subsequent adjustment of power.
