PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membership authentication method which can reduce a member's operation load required for membership authentication.SOLUTION: A membership authentication method includes the steps in which: a portable terminal of a member generates an OTP (One Time Password) on the basis of member identification information of a membership card, then generates an encryption code, and displays the generated encryption code; a communication portable terminal of a store reads the encryption code displayed by the portable terminal, and transmits the read encryption code to a server of a head office; and the server of the head office decrypts the encryption code, compares the decrypted member identification information with member identification information stored in the server, and also authenticates the member by comparing the generated OTP with the decrypted OTP from the communication portable terminal. Thus, it is possible to reduce an operation load on the portable terminal. |
