<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device used mainly for operating various electronic units in a vehicle easy to use while ensuring reliable operation.SOLUTION: A rotational operation electronic component 1 has an operation member 15 which is mounted on an operation shaft 3 movably in a vertical direction. A touch panel 16, which has plural electrodes 18A-18D and electrodes 19A-19D formed thereon, is disposed around the operation member 15. Corresponding to changes of capacitance on the touch panel 16, control means 23 controls driving means 20 to drive the operation member 15 to move vertically. When no operation is made, the operation member 15 goes down not to protrude from the upper face of a cover 11 to prevent unintentional operation. When a finger gets closer, the operation member 15 goes up to protrude from the upper face of the cover 11 for an easy operation. An input device which is easy to operate and ensures reliable operation is achieved.</p> |
