PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical capacitor capable of properly protecting wiring for electrically connecting a power storage element with the exterior of a case from electrolytic corrosion.SOLUTION: An electrochemical capacitor according to the invention includes: a lid; a case; a power storage element; an electrolytic solution; wiring; an extraction electrode; an overcoating layer; and a conductive adhesive material layer. The case has a via and forms a liquid chamber between itself and the lid. The power storage element is stored in the liquid chamber. The electrolytic solution is stored in the liquid chamber. The wiring has a via part disposed in the via and connects the interior of the liquid chamber with the exterior thereof. The extraction electrode is connected with the via part. The overcoating layer covers the extraction electrode and exposes a partial region of the extraction electrode. The conductive adhesive material layer fixes the power storage element to the overcoating layer and electrically connects the power storage element with the extraction electrode.
