A method for transmitting multimedia broadcast multicast service control information is disclosed in the present invention, including that: a base station closes transmission of Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (MBMS) services in a cell, and transmits control plane information of the MBMS services, wherein, in the control plane information, System Information Block 2 (SIB2) contents, Multicast Control Channel (MCCH) information contents and Dynamic Scheduling Information (DSI) contents remain unchanged, and SIB13 contents are changed or unchanged. Meanwhile, a device for transmitting multimedia broadcast multicast service control information is disclosed in the present invention, including: a service closing unit for closing transmission of MBMS services in a cell; and a transmission unit for transmitting control plane information of the MBMS services in the cell in which the MBMS services are closed, wherein, in the transmitted control plane information, SIB2 contents, MCCH information contents and DSI contents remain unchanged, and SIB13 contents are changed or unchanged. The present invention improves reliability of receiving MBMS services by a User Equipment (UE). |
