<p>The subject invention provides rasagiline citramide and a process for preparation of rasagiline citramide from rasagiline. Also provided are compositions containing-propargyl-1(R)-aminoindan or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and a compound of rasagiline citramide or a salt thereof and methods of validating said pharmaceutical compositions based on the percentage amount of rasagiline citramide relative to rasagiline.</p>
