The nozzle (10) has a fixed first section (20), and a second section (30) rotatable relative to the first section. The first section comprises a first channel (60) for supplying fluid to a set of second channels arranged in the second section. The second channels communicate with discharge openings for generating spray, where the openings end at a surface of the second section. A sensor e.g. impact sound sensor or pressure sensor, detects periodic connection of the first channel with one of the second channels during rotation of the second channels. An independent claim is also included for a flue gas scrubber.
