The present invention relates to a system and a method for detecting expected traffic lights, capable of helping a driver to quickly and efficiently starting and stopping a car according to three color traffic lights when driving the car. The system according to the present invention comprises: a traffic light unit including a first color signal detection unit to detect a first color signal to be converted between two color signals during a predetermined time before the conversion when a traffic signal is converted between arbitrary two signals among three color signals, a notification signal generation unit to generate a notification signal in correspondence to the detected first color signal, and a local area network transmission unit to transmit the generated notification signal to an expected signal detection unit by using a local area network; and the expected signal detection unit includes a local area network reception unit to receive the generated notification signal from the local area network transmission unit by using the local area network, and a signal notification unit to decode the received notification signal and generate different types of sounds and lights according to the first color signal. The system and the method of the present invention can determine, in advance, the start, stop and ongoing signals at a crossroad and a crosswalk, thereby preventing, in advance, accidents and warning sounds from a card behind. |
