Described is a system for counting passengers in a vehicle. The counting system includes a network connection, a computer system, a tracking system, a video camera. The counting system also includes a local system which comprises a monitoring system able to recognize the face of a passenger by means of the video camera, the local system being able to read, by a reader of the computer system, a code provided by the passenger, the computer system validating and counting the code, and relating the validated code with the recognized face, the local system finding the vehicle by the tracking system, and the local system monitoring the vehicle. The counting system is connected to a central system that receives the data from the local system by means of the network connection, the received data including the codes validated by the local system, the counting of the codes and localization and warning alerts of the vehicle. |
