PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner that has satisfactory low-temperature fixability, and also has preferable cleaning properties. SOLUTION: A method of producing toner particles includes: a step of adding a polymerizable monomer composition comprising a polymerizable monomer and a colorant to an aqueous medium; a step of granulating the polymerizable monomer composition in the aqueous medium to form particles of the polymerizable monomer composition; and a step of polymerizing the particles of the polymerizable monomer composition to provide toner particles, wherein a polymerization initiator is added by a plurality of times, the polymerization initiator A added at the first time is selected from peroxydicarbonate and diacyl peroxide, the polymerization initiator B is added when the polymerization conversion rate reaches 60.0 to 99.5%, the polymerization initiator B is a water-soluble polymerization initiator, the 10-hr half-life temperature T(A)(°C) measured by using toluene of the polymerization initiator A is 40 to 62°C, and a temperature T(JA)(°C) of the aqueous medium until the polymerization initiator B is added after the polymerization agent A is added and the T(A) satisfy the relation; T(A)+25≤T(JA)≤T(A)+36.
