PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier for an electrostatic latent image developer adopted for a two-component developer used in electrophotography and an electrostatic recording method. SOLUTION: A carrier for an electrostatic latent image developer is formed of magnetized core material particles and a resin layer that coats the surface of the particles. The resin layer includes resin obtained by subjecting a copolymer including conductive particulates, a tris (trialkylsiloxy) silane, and a radical polymerizable silane to heating treatment; and the conductive particulate has a substrate including zinc oxide with a conductive coating layer on the surface thereof.
