PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a polymer electrolyte solution which forms a catalyst layer suitably and makes electrochemical reaction proceed smoothly.SOLUTION: A cathode catalyst layer 93a and an anode catalyst layer 92a in an MEA 90 of an embodiment 1 are obtained by a catalyst paste 42 composed of a mixture of a prepaste 40 and a polymer electrolyte solution 41. The polymer electrolyte solution 41 is obtained through the following processes: a solution preparation process in which DE2020 composed of a mixture of a polymer electrolyte 82, water and NPA is prepared; a solution concentration process in which water and NPA are evaporated from the DE2020 by immersing it in hot water to reduce a percentage of the polymer electrolyte 82 to 30% or less; a solution preparation process in which IPA is added to DE2020 after being immersed in hot water and stirred together; a third solution addition process in which NPA is added to DE2020 after being stirred and stirred together and further water is added and stirred together; and a fourth solution warming process in which the polymer electrolyte solution 41 is warmed. |
