PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair to which a cover member is simply and quickly mounted. SOLUTION: The cover member 13 includes: a front cover 14 for covering a front surface of a back plate 9; a backing member 15 for forming a bag-like section between the front cover 14 and the backing member itself; a back upper cover 16 for forming an upper bag-like section 16a fitted on the upper part of the back plate 9; and a cushion pad 20 stored in the bag-like section. An opening 15a through which the front cover 14, the back upper cover 16, the backing member 15 and the cushion pad 20 are passed through to be reversed, is prepared in the backing member 15, and a seamed margin part of the front cover 14, the back upper cover 16 and the backing member 15 is located inside the cover member 13.
