An accessory clamping mechanism 10 for clamping an accessory 9 to a working mandrel 7. The accessory clamping mechanism comprises a mandrel flange 71 and a fastening flange 14. A driving device, via a pushing member 13, forces the fastening flange so that it can move between a released position and a clamped position. In the release position the accessory can be removed from between the mandrel flange and the fastening flange, and in the clamped position the accessory is clamped between the mandrel flange and the fastening flange. A first elastic member 15 biases the fastening flange towards the clamped position. Also claimed is a power tool which comprises a housing containing a motor and a driving shaft with a transmission mechanism for converting the rotating motion of the drive shaft into the oscillating motion of the working mandrel. The power tool also contains the clamping mechanism as described above. |
