摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing unit in which detection accuracy of an object captured in a frame image is enhanced by minimizing the effect of the object captured in an input frame image, thereby updating a model properly according to the environmental change, e.g. change in brightness in the imaging area. <P>SOLUTION: When an object is captured in a frame image input to an image input unit 3, an image processing unit 4 calculates and updates a probability model and a prediction model by the pixel value of a pixel located in a region where the background is imaged. Meanwhile, for a pixel located in a region where a vehicle is imaged, the image processing unit 4 updates the probability model and prediction model by using the pixel value of a pixel located in the background region and similar to that of the probability model and prediction model. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p>
