The present invention refers to a filter for removing arsenic by electrolysis using ceramics that contain ferrous sulfate and ferric chloride for separating arsenic molecules. The absorption of impurities is performed in two compartments or sections, the first being formed by gravel and the second by sand. This filter may reduce the levels of arsenic in water, the energy required for performing the electrolysis being captured by nickel-copper-based photovoltaic paint, thus being a filter actuated by solar energy. The designed filter is able to perform the same chemical reaction for removing arsenic than other filters, but with the difference that the invention is 10 times quicker, i.e., approximately 30 liters per hour, the half-life of the filter being of 4.2 years. |
