<p>The device (E) has a higher-level control system (30) that is coupled to a data transport network (TN) via network access points (2,4). The communication units (18,20,22,24,26,28) are connected to a network access points (6,8,10,12,14,16), and remote functional units to provide access to the data transport network. A power transmission network is connected with decentralized functional units (DFE), for supplying electric energy to decentralized functional units. Several intelligent devices are connected to energy storage devices of power transmission network, to perform power management. An independent claim is included for method for operating decentralized functional units.</p> |
