The method involves receiving an activating signal by a control unit (4) and analyzing an audio signal that is transmitted upon receiving the activation signal of a voice connection by a speech recognition system (5). A word from the audio signal is recognized by the speech recognition system. A recognized word is passed to a lexicon server (6) and translated in another language by the lexicon server. The word translated by the lexicon server is output at one of terminals (2, 3) to a user. An independent claim is also included for a system for providing a translation of language contents from an audio signal.
