Dual stator permanent magnet generator for a wind turbine

It is described a dual stator permanent magnet generator (100) for a wind turbine. The generator (100) comprises an inner stator assembly (102) having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, an outer stator assembly (101) having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, and a rotating assembly (103) having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface and being arranged between the inner stator assembly and the outer stator assembly. The second surface of the inner stator assembly comprises recesses (104) for receiving windings and wherein the second surface of the inner stator assembly faces the rotating assembly. The first surface of the outer stator assembly comprises recesses (104) for receiving windings and wherein the first surface of the inner stator assembly faces the rotating assembly. The first and the second surface of the rotating assembly are configured to receive permanent magnet module elements (105) in order to induce currents in the windings of the inner stator assembly and the outer stator assembly during a rotation of the rotating assembly.
