A powered wheelchair (40) includes a seat assembly (46) configured to support an individual, a curved legrest assembly (48) pivotally connected to the seat assembly, and an adjustment assembly including an actuator (68) operatively connected to the central column (50) through a piston (64) slidably secured within a sleeve (66). The adjustment assembly is secured underneath the seat assembly. The powered wheelchair may also include an extension bracket (58) that allows legrests (56) and a central column (50) of the curved legrest assembly (48) to be separately and independently adjusted with respect to one another.
