The electro-hydraulic crimping tool comprises relatively movable pressing jaws (18), a hydraulic unit (16) for moving one of the pressing jaws, and an electric motor (10) for driving a hydraulic pump (12) that conveys hydraulic fluid from a reservoir (14) to a pressure chamber of the hydraulic unit. The hydraulic pump has cylinder chambers (22) and a delivery piston (20). The piston is moved by a common carrier (34) which is directly coupled to a motor shaft (30) of the electric motor.
