An exercise supporting device and a method of the same are disclosed. The exercise supporting device comprises: a sensor unit which includes an ultrasonic transmitter and an ultrasonic receiver separately mounted to each different position of the body; and a user device which calculates a separation distance of the ultrasonic transmitter and receiver by using transmission time information of the ultrasonic transmitter and receiving time information of the ultrasonic receiver, and updates exercise information using the calculated separation distance.
