The present invention relates to a device and a method for controlling a pointer in an electronic device. The method for controlling the pointer of an electronic device includes the steps of: detecting a multi-touch; determining the coordinates of the pointer based on the multi-touched points; and displaying the pointer on the determined coordinates.
