The present invention relates to a damper housing for an air conditioner. A conventional damper housing has a problem in that since all frames are welded to each other, coating spraying work is added to cover the discoloration of the welded portion, so that the workability is deteriorated to lower its productivity, and construction costs are increased due to the raised distribution costs. However, according to the present invention, both ends of upper and lower frames (100a, 100b) and left and right frames (200a, 200b) forming a rectangular box housing (10) are bent in a c-shape to have an inner abutting end (210) and an outer abutting end (220), thereby forming a damper housing for an air conditioner. Both surfaces of the upper and lower frames (100a, 100b) are provided with a plurality of main engaging holes (110) and auxiliary engaging grooves (120), and main engaging pieces (211) and auxiliary engaging pieces (221) protrude from the inner abutting end (210) and the outer abutting end (220) of the left and right frames (200a, 200b) to be inserted into the main engaging holes (110) and the auxiliary engaging grooves (120) and then bent. Since the assembling state of the box housing (10) is firmly maintained by the double engaging forces using the main engaging pieces (211) and the auxiliary engaging pieces (221), the assembling productivity is maximized to achieve the cost reduction. Also, since transportation costs for distribution are reduced and the construction is easy, the construction costs are remarkably decreased. |
