[Also in Group XXVIII] In a method of producing a cellulosic structure, e.g. a tube, from a sheet or web comprising fibrous cellulosic material having regenerated cellulose on both sides thereof, an adhesive comprising a cellulose ester is applied to an edge of one sheet or web and that edge is contacted with an edge of that or another sheet or web, the edges then being caused to bond together by regenerating cellulose from the ester. The sheet may comprise paper or non- woven or woven cloth formed of sisal, ramie, flax, bagasse or cotton coated on both sides with cellulose. Specification 764,455 also is referred to. |
